The Elliot Lake Wildcats are committed to icing a competitive hockey team with a focus on player development and community integration. Our players are expected to uphold our quality team image as active, courteous and civic-minced young men. Wildcats will volunteer their time throughout the community at events and with our minor hockey teams. Our goal is to help develop the minor hockey system so that local players make up our roster in the coming years.
In order to develop our players and take them to the next level of hockey, the Wildcats will have 4 on-ice practices per week as well as 4 off-ice workouts. Players will work with a staff of professional and knowledgeable trainers both on and off ice who will ensure our Wildcats are working to their full potential during the season.
With our Coach being no stranger to Jr. A Hockey, he has both the experience and knowledge of what it will take for our players to be successful at this level of competitive hockey.
The regular season of Wildcats hockey consists of 52 games with an average of 2 games per week. The Wildcats will also compete for the Copeland Cup–McNamara Trophy in the playoffs which features a best of 7 game quarter, semi-final and final series.
Wildcats’ home games will take place Fridays at the Centennial Arena. Ticket information available here.
We look forward to providing an exciting season of Jr. A Hockey to both our players and community members in Elliot Lake.
