Wildcats kick off Score One Against Cancer campaign tonight

ELLIOT LAKE — Friday, Oct. 2, is the kick off to the Elliot Lake Wildcat’s annual fundraising drive to Stamp out Cancer.

This year’s theme is “Score One Against Cancer” and the campaign will run for the entire month.

All money raised will be donated to the Chemotherapy Wing of Elliot Lake’s, St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Here’s is a list of activities by the club supporting our fundraising efforts:

Light the City Pink

Natalie Bray a well known Elliot Lake resident and Breast Cancer Survivor, has had a long time dream to light the City Pink in support of the battle against cancer.

Natalie is an avid supporter of Wildcat Hockey and, it is our intent with community support to make that dream a reality.

During the month of October, pink light bulbs will be on sale at every Wildcat home game.

It is our hope, that the pink lights will replace existing outdoor lights at your home and be illuminated every night during the month.

The cost of lights is $5.00 and all proceeds go to the St Joseph’s Hospital Chemotherapy Wing.

You may also order you lights by contacting Natalie directly at 705-461-7952 or through the Wildcats facebook Fan Page.

Let’s make this dream a reality and remember every pink light represents a ray of hope for someone battling cancer.

Lets Light it Up Elliot Lake

Score One Against Cancer

The Elliot Lake Wildcats play 11 hockey games during the month of October and a challenge has be made for fans and supporters to donate $1.00 for every goal scored by the Wildcats during the month.

Pledge sheets will be available at every home game and at select Sponsor location.

The Players are pumped and eager to support the cause by filling the nets with goals.

Pink in the Rink

On October 23, (Elliot Lake vs. Kirkland Lake Gold Miners) is the Wildcats annual Pink in the Rink game in support of the battle against Breast Cancer.

All of the Wildcat Players will be wearing specially designed Pink Jerseys and Socks for this event.

The actual game worn Jerseys will be autographed by the players and auctioned off at the end of the game.

We have a number of memorable events planned for this night and many Cancer Survivors will be in attendance.

This is guaranteed to be a night filled with emotion, hope and inspiration.

All proceeds go to the St Joseph’s Hospital Chemotherapy Wing.

I love Pink, I hate Cancer!
