NOJHL announces Gongshow Gear players of the month for November
SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday its respective Gongshow Gear Inc., player, defenceman, goaltender and rookie of the month for November.
GONGSHOW GEAR PLAYER OF THE MONTH – TYSON GILMOUR, (F) POWASSAN VOODOOS: Skating in 10 games last month, Gilmour helped the surging Voodoos win all of them aiding in the club’s current 17-game winning streak.
The 18-year-old East York product tallied eight times and doled out seven assists for 15 points during that span, which included one game-winning goal.
The son of Hockey Hall of Fame Honoured Member Doug Gilmour is currently riding a seven-game point streak and has scored in four straight as Powassan travels to Kirkland Lake Friday evening to take on the Gold Miners in an effort to win their 18th straight outing.
Gilmour is fourth in team scoring for the Voodoos so far this season having notched 12 goals and earned assists on 17 others for 29 points overall in 26 games played.

GONGSHOW GEAR DEFENCEMAN OF THE MONTH – SPENCER SEGUI, (D) TIMMINS ROCK: The 20-year-old North Haven, Conn., native was solid on both ends on the ice for the Rock as part of their 6-1-1-1 record for the month.
In the seven contests he skated in, Segui scored once and dished out eight assists for nine points for Timmins.
He presently leads all Rock rearguards in offensive production and sits fourth among all NOJHL defencemen in scoring with 19 points in 23 games having scored three times while helping set-up 16 others.

GONGSHOW GEAR GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH – NATE MCDONALD, (G) POWASSAN VOODOOS: Another stellar run for McDonald helped him earn league monthly top goaltender laurels for a second time this season.
In six appearances in November he came away with victories in all of them helping backstop Powassan to their active 17-game winning streak.
During the month he registered a stingy 1.66 goals-against average along with a solid .939 save percentage.
The 17-year-old North Bay, Ont., product enters December leading the league in average, save percentage and shutouts at 1.90, .931 and three respectively.
McDonald, who was a member of Team NOJHL at the recently completed Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge in Cornwall, Ont., has recorded a victory in his last nine times in net while his 14 wins tie him for top spot in the league.
