SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Sunday that NOJHL game No. 290 played on Saturday, Feb. 10, between the Elliot Lake Wildcats and Blind River Beavers, has been forfeited by Blind River due to the use of an ineligible player.
The Beavers had originally won the contest 3-1, but now forfeit those two points for dressing a player that was inadvertently omitted from the official line-up form and game sheet.
The game will now in turn be credited as a victory for the Wildcats.
All of the statistics for players on both sides from this contest will count however.
